bd Global, StatBroadcast link up for MGM Grand Showcase, MGM Grand Main Event, Gulf Coast Showcase 2014 basketball tournaments

LEXINGTON, KTY. -- StatBroadcast and bd Global agreed on terms today to use StatBroadcast technologies at their 2014 college basketball hoops tournaments, which include the MGM Grand Showcase, MGM Grand Main Event and Gulf Coast Showcase. StatBroadcast will provide a live stats feed for all events as well as real-time stats feeds to the media, courtside stat monitors and an LED in-arena scoreboard display.

The MGM Grand Main Event is a four-day event running November 24 -26, 2014 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The men’s college basketball tournament features StatBroadcast partner schools Auburn, Milwaukee and Oregon State as well as Louisiana-Lafayette, Oklahoma State, Oral Roberts and Tulsa.

The MGM Grand Showcase, also played at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, is a one-day event on December 20 that is part of the NCAA basketball Coaches vs. Cancer weekend, with a portion of every ticket sold being donated to the American Cancer Society. The Showcase will feature a double header pitting Washington against Oklahoma followed by UNLV versus Utah.

The Gulf Coast Showcase is a six-day event in Estero, Florida at the Germain Arena and features both a men’s and women’s basketball bracket. The men’s bracket features StatBroadcast partners ECU, Evansville, FGCU, Fresno State, Hawaii, Marist and San Francisco as well as Green Bay. The women’s bracket will include StatBroadcast partners Arizona State, College of Charleston, UConn, Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt and Villanova as well as Green Bay and Minnesota.
